Technical Specification

The carriage is a development of the original “DO-DO” trolley that has been in service for many years, catering for the A21 and A75 inshore lifeboats. The development programme for the new A85 carriage incorporated changes identified from manufacture, operation and re-furbishment of the original trolley.

The A85 carriage design incorporates a family of three variants: a standard carriage, an angled carriage that can elevate the main bed through 10 degrees, and an angled carriage bed mounted on a railway carriage system.
