Fitting

The Fitting Department provides a comprehensive facility to build and test complex assemblies. As much of the work undertaken is for military or life saving rescue equipment, correct build and function are essential pre-requisites to ensure that high reliability and availability requirements are achieved.

Many projects undertaken use complex hydraulic equipment and systems. These include both tracked and wheeled vehicles with hydrostatic drive and closed loop control systems. Stringent workshop controls are applied to minimise hydraulic oil contamination, with demonstration that international standards have been achieved via oil sampling.

The Company is frequently required to carry out installation and commissioning work at sites throughout the UK and Eire. Personnel are experienced in working with Civil Engineering Contractors and producing all relevant installation documentation including Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
