Talus MB-764

Description

Unlike other tractors in the Talus range this vehicle is a modification of a commercial tractor design. The modifications carried out allow the tractor to wade safely to a depth of 1.5m in calm water. This was the first vehicle design that the Company sold to the RNLI, following the development of two Prototype machines, the second of which was equipped with a propeller and fully amphibious.

The Talus MB-764 tractor is a marinised form of the County tractor, which has been in service with the RNLI since 1975. A total fleet of 30 tractors are operated by the RNLI. The basic operating and performance characteristics are little changed from the base vehicle, with the exception of the wading capability.
