Our Services

Design and Build

Design is a key element of the Company's development and manufacturing capability. A comprehensive service is offered to clients that frequently includes the development of a detailed specification to achieve their requirements.

Design schemes and detailed drawings are produced using CAD. The Company currently operates 3 seats of SolidWorks 2014, 1 seat of Solidworks Composer, 1 seat of Solidworks Electrical together with a more basic CAD package, one seat of Strand 7 FEA and also Adobe Illustrator.

Our design team has experience of sub contracting a wide range of engineering disciplines that are not available in-house, such as Risk, Safety, AR&M and Finite Element design justification. This allows the Company to provide the capability to deliver a comprehensive design facility that is suited to the customer requirements, without incurring excessive overheads.

The design process is controlled in line with BS EN ISO 9001:2015 requirements.

The Machine Shop facility, with a range of conventional and CNC machine tools, allows the Company to manufacture a wide range of components in-house for prototyping and subsequent production.

As a result of the frequent requirement to produce low volume work for which jigging would be inappropriate, a high level of skill and experience has been built up in producing complex fabrications directly from drawings. These skills are complemented by high quality welding. The Company is an Industrial member of The Welding Institute (TWI) and has worked with them to develop a range of approved weld procedures to BS EN 288, BS EN ISO 15613 and BS EN ISO 15614. Welders are coded to a range of approval specifications within BS EN 287 and BS 4872 for MAG, TIG and MMA welding.

The Fitting Department provides a comprehensive facility to build and test complex assemblies. As much of the work undertaken is for military or life saving rescue equipment, correct build and function are essential pre-requisites to ensure that high reliability and availability requirements are achieved.

Build to Print

The Company has a flexible approach to manufacture and 'build to print' projects. Many manufacturing jobs are undertaken using customer’s drawings whilst others require a varied input of design and project management activities.

In Service Support

The Company is frequently required to carry out installation and commissioning work at sites throughout the UK and Eire. Personnel are experienced in working with Civil Engineering Contractors and producing all relevant installation documentation including Method Statements and Risk Assessments.

A fleet of service vans is maintained to allow rapid support for maintenance or repair of the Company’s products.
